Colleen T. Artisan Bread Camp 2024 I attended Kentucky Millstone’s inaugural Artisan Sourdough Bread Camp in January 2024.  It was fantastic.  Chef Lori is deeply knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, and very patient.  The small class size and intimate setting of the Millstone resulted in highly personalized instruction.  My classmates were like-minded home bakers, varying in skill and experience (and professions), but all eager to learn and mutually supportive of one another.  The experience was transformative for me in terms of my confidence to judge the proper “look and feel” of dough throughout the process of creating each of the many breads and pastries we made.  I can’t say enough positive things about my experience, my fellow students, Chef Lori, and her colleagues, Tom and Kim.  I live in Minnesota, having learned about Chef Lori in a PBS special about artisan breads, and I am incredibly happy I made the trip to Kentucky Millstone for Bread Camp!    --  

Nina G. Introduction to Pasta 2023 My husband and I attended a pasta making class at The Kentucky Millstone and it was beyond great! Lori and Tom are perfect instructors - so organized, very knowledgeable and patient . The pasta and sauces were delicious and so easy and fun to make! If learning how to make homemade pasta is on your bucket list... DO IT!

I absolutely loved the Intro to Sourdough Class at the KY Millstone.  Lori is an excellent teacher and has been there to answer all my questions(even weeks later).  You can tell she loves what she does and truly wants to help others.  I am having so much fun making my own bread!

Bread camp was so worth it! I’m an avid home baker thinking about starting a home bakery. I have been making artisan sourdough for quite a while and this class helped improve my bread by learning lots of helpful details, not to mention, the bagels and English muffins we learned to make- super excited about those! Lori is a great teacher and the whole experience was just so much fun!

! attended an artisan bread class in Louisville KY, it was awesome, but the instructor was even more amazing. Lori was so clear and easy to follow and we the best time that week. I learned enough to come home and start my own bread baking business. Lori is not only a wonderful instructor, but has become a friend and I hope to take another course very soon.

Intro to Sourdough Class

I was able to take an artisan bread class given by Lori, that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am in no way a chef or baker, and with this being my first time in truly working with yeast, Lori was able to provide step by step instructions/directions and I was able to make 2 homemade sourdough breads. The class was fun and energetic!! We made sticky buns and doughnuts as well. All students were able to taste test all end results...……….YUM!!! This is a full hands on class and can highly recommended for first time bakers or even experienced bread makers.
